Frequently Asked Questions

When are you open? We are open seven days a week from 7am - 2pm from the second week of May through the third week in October.

Can I get breakfast all day? Yes.

When does lunch service start? 11am.

Do you give out your recipes? We do not share our recipes, but we are working on a cookbook that will reveal all! (Even the Oatmeal Pancakes.)

Do you cater? For the most part, no, although we have catered some simple brunches. Don’t be afraid to ask, but please be willing to accept the fact that we may not be able to cater for you.

Do you make wedding/birthday cakes? Sorry, no cakes.

Can I pre-order baked goods? Sorry, we can not accommodate special orders. Our baked goods are first-come, first-served..

Can I call in an order? We are generally too busy to take call-ins.

Where do you get that amazing coffee and espresso? Hailey Coffee Company provides us with our drip coffee (Peru Andes Gold) and espresso beans (Taza de Valle).

Do you live in Stanley year-round? Owners Tim and Becky Cron live in Stanley full-time, but most of the employees live in town only during the summer season.

How cold does it get in Stanley during the winter? The only time we make the national news is when the temperature is “coldest in the nation.” The fact that winter temperatures can drop to 30 degrees below zero probably has something to do with the fact that Stanley’s year-round population is 63.

What is with the aprons hanging in the kitchen? We started a vintage apron collection in our first year, and it has blossomed into a full clothesline of classics—some found by us, some donated by Bakery regulars.

What’s with the goat? Our mascot for the business is named Billy Bob, the Soul Goat. You can see him on most of our merchandise. He is a jive-talking mountain goat who loves good food, live music, and living deep in the Sawtooths.
